Life is like an vast ocean complete with islands, waves, currents, and animals.  Oceans also contain water spouts, tsunamis, and hurricanes.  Sometimes these conditions render a person hopeless or lead them to swim indefinitely in this vast ocean.  My mission is to equip people to rise above the storm by providing hope, harmony, and to discover their full potential.  It is my hope that as these storms comes, they will be equipped to say “it is well.

My name is Robb Wood, LPC-Intern, M.Div, CLC, and am supervised by Dr. Mee-Gaik Lim, Ph.D, LPC-S, LMFT-S, AAMFT-S.  Having served in ministry for almost 30 years, I have came to realize that many people have pain, some hidden.  The National Institute of Mental Health reports that almost 1 in 5 adults and children have some form of mental struggle.  So what does this mean?   It means that the taboo of counseling is a thing of the past.  Counseling is in.  Counseling is NOT just for persons struggling with serious mental issues, but also for people struggling to find a career, respond to a difficult situation, or just need some direction and compassion in life.  I am here to walk with you, to help you lift your head high and to hopefully one day say hear you say, “It is well!

My favorite counseling theories are Gestalt and Cognitive based.  As a chaplain, I integrate these theories into Faith.  My specializations include Grief, Crisis Intervention, men’s issues, and faith-based issues.

I am supervised by Dr. Mee-Gaik Lim, Ph.D, LPC-S, LMFT-S, AAMFT-S.
